It stimulates erythropoiesis, takes part in ossification and the formation of bone structure; participates in the metabolism of proteins and carbohydrates. It stimulates the enzymatic activity of the liver and the activity of some endocrine glands (gonades, adrenal glands, pituitary gland). It takes part in the process of creating rhodopsin (a dye that determines the ability to see).
